Currently I am reviewing and using this phone. But I’m going to give you a little preview first.
The RedMi Note from Xiaomi is not officially launched here in Malaysia yet but a friend of mine is kind enough to let me use this phone for a few days to do my version of hands-on full review.
Here’s the basic specification for this phone:
- CPU: MediaTek MT6592 Octa-Core clocking at 1.7GHz Cortex A7
- GPU: Mali-450MP4
- Display: IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, 720 x 1280 pixels, 5.5 inches
- Camera: 13 Megapixel main camera, 5 Megapixel front camera
- Memory: 8GB ROM/2GB RAM, MicroSD up to 32GB
- OS: Custom MIUI OS built on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean
Okay. That’s all I’m going to reveal for now. So far the Xiaomi RedMi Note is doing really well and I’m enjoying it. Other than that, the battery life lasted the whole day…and night.
My full review will be up soon in a couple of days, so…wait for it.

Hi James,
Sorry for the late reply. Was offline for a few days.
Most probably you need to update your MIUI OS if you have any problems with the sound or volume. This is more of a bug, not the settings. Try and head over to MIUI’s website and download the new update to your phone. Details and instructions can be found here: http://en.miui.com/download.html
Hope this helps. Cheers.
