For those who didn’t know, WhatsApp recently release their latest feature for users to quote a message for a reply, that works very well in a group message.
Let’s say you are in a large group, maybe more than 20 members. They have been chatting away for a while and you have not check the messages yet. And suddenly you decided to open up the group chat and saw hundreds of messages that you haven’t read. In between the messages, you saw that someone asked a question but no one seems to know the answer. But you know the answer. So, in order for you to reply to that message, you can now simply long press on that message and tap on the back arrow that appears at the top (as reply) to attach a quote in your reply message. And then your quoted message will appear like the one in the picture below.
This feature was tested on the Android’s version of WhatsApp Beta v2.16.118 for a few days and finally made available to everyone with the latest update in v2.16.6 (mine is v2.16.95). Some of you may not be able to see the update yet. What you can do is to uninstall the WhatsApp app and reinstall with a new one. Or you can just wait for the new update when it appears.
