The Mobile World Congress is coming up next week but we now have the details of Samsung’s upcoming flagship, the Galaxy S9 and S9+.

The launch of Samsung Galaxy S8 is still fresh in my mind as though it only happened last week. Now we are seeing the launch of the new Galaxy S9 in just a few days. MWC in Barcelona is happening next week where Samsung will officially announce their latest flagship, the Galaxy S9 and S9+. But we have already seen the leaks and now the full specs of the new S9 has been revealed.

It is no surprise that Samsung is maintaining the similar look as the previous S8 version, with the exception of the fingerprint sensor that has been moved below the rear camera module.

The Galaxy S9 and S9+ comes in 5.8″ and 6.2″ SAMOLED QHD+ screen respectively. The curved edged display is similar to the S8 before this but both are now going to be powered by Samsung Exynos 9810/Snapdragon 845 SoC.

The S9 will come with 4GB of RAM together with 64GB of storage, expendable up to 400GB via MicroSD card. On the other hand, the Galaxy S9+ version will come with 6GB of RAM instead, with the same storage capacity as the S9.

As for the camera setup, the S9 has a single 12MP camera at the back while the S9+ will have a dual-camera setup with 12MP on each of the camera sensors.  The S9 and S9+ will have a similar f/1.5 to f/2.4 adjustable aperture on the main rear shooter, while the secondary camera on the S9+ will have a wider angle fixed at f/2.4 aperture. Front camera on both the S9 and S9+ will have the same 8MP f/1.7 autofocus shooter.

Both phone are equipped with a USB C-type connector with fast charging capability to power up the 3,000mAh and 3,500mAh batteries. You can guess which one has the higher capacity. Other functions similar to the previous S8 are the iris scanner, fingerprint sensor at the back, facial recognition and this time comes with stereo speakers. That means it will have dual speakers for better sound of music.
