It’s time to say goodbye to the (annoying) notch. Yes, I don’t like the notch that much. The reason it’s there is simply because of the front camera and the speaker. And also because it’s trendy. I don’t fancy that at all.
As for the new upcoming Vivo Nex, they have removed the notch completely. Great move by Vivo there. Now the display can fill up the entire front screen leaving only a few millimeters of bezel on all sides (and a really small “chin”) making it an almost all front glass phone.
Where have they located the front camera and speaker? Well, the speaker is no longer there and they have implement the “screen soundcasting” technology to turn the screen into a speaker, just like Xiaomi with the Mi Mix phone.
And this is where it gets interesting. Earlier this year, we have only heard rumours and seen some render leaks on Vivo’s new all screen front panel smartphone. This time it has come to reality.
The 8-megapixel front camera is located on top of the phone and it will pop-up from the body when needed. It is well hidden inside the body when not in use. This I think, is a great idea and brilliant innovation by Vivo and I’m not surprised if many other manufacturers will adopt this feature for their upcoming phones.
The Vivo Nex has an all-screen design with no notch, no speaker grille, and a selfie camera that pops up from inside the phone to take your picture. Sporting a 6.59-inch Super AMOLED display with a full-HD+ resolution, the Nex also features an underscreen fingerprint scanner. It’s powered by the third-gen version of the tech found in its earlier Vivo X21 phone and promises to be a lot faster than the original. – CNet.com
The back of the Vivo Nex looks pretty basic but with current design. It comes with a dual 12-MP and 5-MP cameras respectively and features a dual-pixel sensor for better low-light shots. Vivo have been focusing on their camera quality all these years and I’m sure the Nex will produce awesome looking shots.

Let’s wait for further confirmation then.
