Transcend Boundaries with the Stylish FullView Display
Equipped with a 15.6-inch, 1080p FHD IPS FullView display, the HUAWEI MateBook D 15 delivers a fully immersive experience. The top and side bezels are only 5.3mm thick, resulting in an 87 per cent screen to body ratio – the highest yet on a HUAWEI MateBook D product. It allows users to have more access to contents on one page rather than scrolling down the page. It also helps deliver better productivity when it comes to referring materials and making comparisons for various documents. This ultimately enhances overall viewing pleasure.
But as with all laptops, the screen can only be so big – and figuring out how to utilise that limited space to its fullest extent has always been the objective of Huawei’s engineers. On the HUAWEI MateBook, HUAWEI has removed the webcam from the bezel and integrated it into the keyboard. The recessed camera lets HUAWEI further cut down on the bezel size and provides better privacy. Finally, HUAWEI chose a high-strength aluminium alloy for the chassis, allowing it to improve the durability of the PC with no compromises on the screen-to-body ratio.
Lighter, Thinner and Prettier
The HUAWEI MateBook D Series is designed for young consumers. Its aesthetics reflect the characteristics of its target audience –, the curvy, streamlined design endows it with a stylish and unique aesthetic identity. Compared to the rounded design of its predecessors, the new HUAWEI MateBook D Series has a bolder and sleeker design. The enhancements made to the small details – such as the thinner bezels and recessed camera – allow HUAWEI to further shrink the form factor of the laptops, further improving their portability.
HUAWEI’s designers and engineers designed a 15.6-inch laptop that is not only the lightest in the industry, but also features a display that has 87 per cent screen-to-body ratio in a chassis with dimensions of only 357.8mm 229.9mm x 16.9mm.
Smart Connection Made Easy with Multi-Screen Collaboration and One Tap Share
People have been using smartphone and laptop interchangeably, and sometimes even together so that one can complement and synergise with the other. It’s made possible now with One Tap Share where the revolutionary file transfer solution lets user instantly transfer files from smartphones and PC (and vice versa) through a custom channel. It is the perfect solution to the age-old problem with file transfers between PCs and Android devices.
With Multi-screen Collaboration, users can establish a seamless connection between two systems by tapping the smartphone against PC. Peripherals such as mouse and keyboards can be used to control smartphones. Users can work on both devices directly on the PC. Not to mention MateBooks can get access to the rich Android app ecosystem (for videos, news and productivity apps).
Higher Security Measures Means More Privacy Secured
HUAWEI MateBook is the first Windows PC to feature a fingerprint sensor for user login. Many users want a device that boots up quickly, as it would allow them to get back to work in a moment’s notice. Like its predecessors, the HUAWEI MateBook D is also equipped with the fingerprint scanner. It is integrated into the power button, so users can power on their device while simultaneously having their identity authenticated.
As mentioned above, the recessed camera is one-of-a-kind and helps users to secure more privacy without exposing their face via the webcam hacking. It also helps resolve the custom issue where most users will cover their conventional webcam with a sticker to secure their privacy.
