eGG Network, Astro’s gaming and esports platform has partnered with Alex Yoong of Axle Sports to launch the E1 Championship, an online only racing series to discover the best drivers in the Asia Pacific region. Motorsport fans are no stranger to simulation racing (sim-racing) as the world’s best drivers use it as part of their training before hitting the track.

The 8-round tournament will see Asia Pacific’s best drivers racing on RaceRoom on challenging international tracks, beginning with Sepang International Circuit on 18th November 2020. Drivers’ physical endurance and mental strength will be tested. Each team has to drive the perfect racing line, as one-hundredth of a second separates a runner up from a champion that takes home USD$5,000.
