HONG KONG, Nov. 5, 2020 /PRNewswire/ — Justice and villains are present in every city. The battles between good and evil are inevitable, so are superheroes and the Justice League. The exhibition “The Art of DC – The Dawn of Super Heroes” featuring superheroes and villains from the DC comic series, including Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and Joker, will enter Asia for its first time. Hong Kong honorably will be its first stop, yet thousands of superhero and comic book fans surely still find it hard to wait. Besides 1:1 character original costumes, movie props and precious manga manuscripts, at the exhibition will be an interactive game zone exclusively for Hong Kong. Viewers can thus jump into comics and beat villains. If viewers wish this heroic experience to last, then the pop-up store on the spot will be a must-go. Please be reminded that, from now until 11th November, early-bird tickets with a 15% discount are available. Be ready for the hero world on 3rd December.
Hong Kong-exclusive Interactive Game Zone: Beat Villains Together
While the presence of 1:1 hero characters, costumes and props are already amazing, there is even an interactive game area that is unique to Hong Kong. Viewers can therefore enter the comics and become detectives to assist heroes in investigating crimes and fighting against villains. When viewers beat the bad guys, the bubble texts in classic comics such as “BAM”, “POW” and “WOW” will appear on the sandbag projection screen. Viewers may feel the comic become 3-dimensional and be more engaged in it.
See the original costumes and movie props of all heroes in one go
This is the first time “The Art of DC – The Dawn of Super Heroes” being held in Hong Kong. It is jointly organized by PORTAL 6311, Caravan and Art Ludique-LeMusée, DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. From 3rd December 2020 to 7th March 2021, viewers may enjoy the exhibition at Portal 6311 in Kowloon Bay. All heroes from DC blockbuster movies and TV series in their original yet signature costumes will be there, and viewers can see all of them at the same time. Even the old-generation ones, such as the classic cape worn by Christopher Reeve in the “Superman” movie and the costumes of Lynda Carter’s iconic “Wonder Woman” TV series in the 1970s, are here. Not to mention those from more recent films. Viewers can find costumes and props from “Batman” directed by Zack Snyder, Tim Burton, and Christopher Nolan and from the latest “Wonder Woman” starring Gal Gadot.
Original Manuscripts: The revolutionary birth of 1st generation Superman in 1938
Another focus of the exhibition is 200 precious original manuscripts, nearly 280 conceptual sketches of movie scenes and related artworks. Viewers can now decipher the creation of superhero and villain characters in the first place. Manuscripts of the father of “Superman” – Joe Shuster and Jerry Siegel will also be here. The way how Superman first appeared in Action Comics in 1938 will dawn upon the viewers, and it may be clear to them how this revolutionary character quickly rewrote the times and had a profound influence in the art, literature, fashion, television and film industries.
After the games and exhibition, do not forget to stop by the pop-up store at the venue and grab yourself all kinds of limited hero collections. Further, early-bird tickets with a 15% discount are available from now until 11th November. Buy tickets now: www.klook.com
