Being an audiophile myself, I am quite particular about audio quality when it comes to music. First of all, I love a good solid bass that doesn’t break at high volume. Secondly, the clarity of the vocals and high notes have to be crispy clear. That is for music. And I am looking for the same exact quality when it comes to gaming as well.
Enter the Blitzwolf BW-GH2 Gaming Headphone. I am quite surprised at the sound quality produced by this product. It is an over-the-ear type of headphone with a thick and comfortable sponge that eliminates ambient noise. So far I have reviewed a few products by Blitzwolf and none have disappointed me yet.

Now back to my Blitzwolf BW-GH2 Gaming Headphone review.
First Look
The Blitzwolf BW-GH2 Gaming Headphone came in a large minimalist box. It is packed neatly and there were only a few bumps on the box upon arrival. Everything inside the box was unharmed. As I pulled out the headphone from the box, I realised how soft it felt. I mean, the sponge for the over-the-ear piece is thick and soft. That was the first thing I grabbed.
The build quality is solid and yet it doesn’t feel heavy. I received the black version and it has a nice gold trimming around the headphone. The part that goes over the head is made of plastic and the bottom part is made of soft silicone. This is also a foldable type headphone. This is done by rotating the earpiece inwards for easy storage in a narrow compartment.
The large earpiece diameter made it comfortable to wear. It covers my whole ear on each side, and that feels super comfortable too. With the soft sponge being thick, it does eliminate any ambient noise so all you can hear is the sound that comes out from the speaker. The outer shell is made of hard plastic and it’s quite durable with the Blitzwolf logo printed on both sides.
This particular model doesn’t come with an AUX connector, so I can’t test it on my phone. It uses a USB type-A connector and is made to be used with a gaming PC or laptop. But, I am still able to connect this headphone to my phone via the USB type-C port to a USB type-A female adapter. I have tested this and it works really well.
On the audio cable, there’s a controller apparatus that enables me to control the volume, mute the mic/speaker and to turn the rainbow LED lights on or off. Yes, this thing goes light up to give that awesome gaming feel to it. The LED light will illuminate a colourful rainbow like colours and it changes continuously. A very cool touch to this Blitzwolf BW-GH2 Gaming Headphone.
The Blitzwolf BW-GH2 Gaming Headphone also comes with a detachable microphone. It connects to the headphone on the left earpiece via an AUX connector. The mic piece also has a LED light on it.
Audio Quality
Now it comes to the part where I fully test the audio quality of this Blitzwolf BW-GH2 Gaming Headphone. First test will be music audio.
For music, I use Spotify Premium and I set the audio quality to the highest maximum bitrate. I have a few songs that I have chosen for the test. I start with Enter Sandman by Metallica because it has a strong deep drum bass at the beginning and good high notes throughout the song.
I set the volume to high. I did this to “feel” the drum bass and also to check if there’s any break or cracking sound from the headphone when it handles loud bass. First impression when the music started was good for me. It was loud and clear. When the drum bass kicks in, I got rather excited because there were no such sound breaks or cracks to it. It feels solid. The bass is strong and the high notes are super clear. And no ambient noise was heard (it was raining when I tested it).
I moved on to the next song by Alan Walker and Avicii. This time I’m going more towards something faster with more beats. And to my satisfaction, I enjoyed the music even more. I have always been more of a R&B and HipHop music guy but lately I turn to enjoy more upbeat music. The solid bass is on point and the clarity is crystal. At this point, I played some strong vocal music like the ones by Ed Sheeran, Teddy Swims, Queen (Bohemian Rhapsody) and a few others. I love the overall experience and I think the Blitzwolf BW-GH2 Gaming Headphone is well made to ensure good audio quality.
Let’s move on to gaming, what it is meant to be.
I don’t have any PC games installed, so for gaming I can only connect the headphone to my phone via the USB type-C to type-A adapter. Like I said earlier, this works too. I have also tried streaming Spotify music from my phone with the same setup and it still delivers awesome audio, just like the PC.
The game that I play on my phone is PUBG Mobile. And as usual, I have my own group of friends that I play squad with. This is when I am able to fully test the sound quality and microphone. All my audio settings for PUBG Mobile are on full HD, set to the highest audio quality. For games like PUBG Mobile, I need a good audio device to hear movements and the surroundings. And most of the pro and hardcore players rely on a good headphone/earphone to play the game well. Audio quality can determine whether you win or lose.
Let’s just say that I can’t stop playing when I use the Blitzwolf BW-GH2 Gaming Headphone. The audio quality is superb. I can hear even the faintest sound from a distance to let me know where the enemies are and how they are moving. The Blitzwolf BW-GH2 Gaming Headphone handles the surround pretty well. I can easily tell when an enemy is near and their movements. If the sound of their footsteps is on the left, it means they are on the left, and so on.
The microphone sounds loud and clear too, and what my teammates told me. They are able to hear my voice as if I’m next to them. This is also a vital part of the game, to communicate and to coordinate our own movements. Even the audio latency is kept to zero since this is a wired headphone.
Another game that I play with the Blitzwolf BW-GH2 Gaming Headphone is Genshin Impact. I love the audio sound from this game. It has awesome environmental sound effects and the melodic background music is very soothing. Using this headphone enhanced all that. It even picks up the surrounding sounds in the game, which let me immerse more into the game, like I’m right there in the game itself.
I absolutely love this headphone. No doubts about it. If you’re thinking of getting one for yourself, I highly recommend the Blitzwolf BW-GH2 Gaming Headphone.
Conclusion
I had so much fun listening to music and playing a few games with the Blitzwolf BW-GH2 Gaming Headphone. From now on, I’m never going back to my normal earphone because the whole experience between the two is a world apart.
It is true that when you’re playing any games, using a wireless earphone is utterly useless because of the high latency. You need a reliable wired earphone or headphone in order to fully enjoy the game. But the Blitzwolf BW-GH2 Gaming Headphone just blew it out of the water. Sure there are many others out there, even better ones. But those better ones are expensive and you will have to dig deeper into your wallet to buy one. The Blitzwolf BW-GH2 Gaming Headphone is affordable. You will get your money worth and still get the audio quality that you crave for.
But I do have one disfavour with the Blitzwolf BW-GH2 Gaming Headphone. Just one. Since the sponge is thick, I do sweat a little bit around my ears after an hour of having it on. Malaysia has a tropical climate. So heat and humidity is abundant. Be sure to use it in an air-conditioned room so that you will feel comfortable using it. The headphone can also be used as an earmuff during cold weather or in winter, if we have it. Jokes aside, the comfort level is still good.
