According to analysis by the company’s big data team, hackers have been launching these cyberattacks with more than 100 thousand malware-infected mobile or IoT devices. Each of these attacks lasted from 1 to 12 hours and the volume has topped 100 billion. As the following chart shows, the request per second (RPS) for L7 DDoS attacks reached a peak of 7.5 million in January 2022.

DDoS attacks continue to surge.
