Taking care of your home is part of things you should do to keep everyone in your household healthy, especially when you have young children. But let’s not forget the air cleanliness when you’re keeping your household in tip-top condition. This is where a good air purifier comes into play.
Now let me introduce to you the new Samsung Bespoke Cube Air purifier. This elegant looking air purifier looks so good that it fits almost in any minimalist designed home without looking awkward or out of place. It is probably the most elegant, stunning looking air purifier that I have ever seen, so far.
The Samsung Bespoke Cube Air purifier looks like a cube, hence the name. It is suitable to be placed in the open living hall or in your upstairs family area, if you have any. It has this gold-ish colour on the trimming and the front panel that shouts aesthetic. And the minimalistic concept is prominent on the overall design of the cube. Not only does it look good, it functions exactly how it is supposed to. And it’s really good at that.
What I like most about it is how silent it is when it’s turned on. The surrounding air is being sucked through 5 inlets around the back where the filter and UV steriliser is located, and blown softly out at the front through 3 vents – one at the top, and two on each left and right side with floor coverage of 53 ㎡. The wind speed can be adjusted manually if needed. But it is best to let it be on auto mode. On auto, the wind speed will be adjusted accordingly when the Micro Air Sensor detects pollutants in the air, such as dust or smoke. The Micro Air Sensor accurately detects dust particles of various sizes (PM10/2.5/1.0) in real time, including ultrafine dust as small as 0.3㎛.
The sterilisation process uses an Electric Field Sterilisation with UV LED to eliminate 99% of bacteria from the air while a deodorisation filter eliminates odours and any toxic gases, if any. It is very useful when there’s someone in your household who smokes and you want to keep the air quality at its best.
If you want to keep the surrounding air as fresh as possible all day long, you should turn on the Smart Purification mode (Smart mode). It will automatically optimise purification so you can enjoy the fresh air any time of the day. The Smart mode will analyse the air quality and automatically controls the flow of purified air accordingly. And an Ambient Light Sensor adjusts the display brightness to suit your environment. Talk about Smart Home products, this is smart.
The Samsung Bespoke Cube Air purifier uses Windfree technology, just like Samsung’s flagship air-conditioners. Windfree is like a gentle wind blowing softly that will keep you feeling comfortable throughout the day. It purifies your home space without making any noise to maintain a suitable “homey” environment for you and your family. When it’s on, you won’t even know it’s there. That is basically how I felt when I tested the Samsung Bespoke Cube Air purifier at home. I know it’s on, but I hardly notice its presence. That is how good it is.
I particularly like the front and back crossed lines design. It somehow feels retro to me, yet modern and minimalistic. The Samsung Bespoke Cube Air purifier is something I would have in my living hall and in my room. Note to self – definitely going to have one when I move to a new house.
With that being said, I even get good compliments from my friends who come over to the house during the weekends. Their comments were on how modern and simple it looks. Beautiful is probably the perfect word to use to describe the overall look and feel. It is nicely designed and will suit anyone who wishes to have a clean minimalist home.
Another plus point, you can also control the Samsung Bespoke Cube Air purifier from your phone via the SmartThings app. With the SmartThings app, you can remotely monitor your current air quality and turn it on if needed. The Intelligent Care feature from the app can also monitor the pollution level and automatically optimise the purification process. And with the Home Care Wizard, you can get timely alerts on when to change the filters, replace its parts or get other important info on the air purifier.
Final notes
I have no doubt that when I move to a new house, I will get a Samsung Bespoke Cube Air purifier for myself. My personal plus points? It’s good looking, it’s a smart device, it’s quiet and it purifies the air really well.
If you live with someone who smokes, the Samsung Bespoke Cube Air purifier will help a lot when it comes to keeping the air clean. Or in this case, cleaner. It also helps if you have pets around the house. You will notice less cat fur on the floor, just like I did. And I do need the floor to be clean as I have a 1yo child roaming around. That is also a good reason to have an air purifier at home.
So will the Samsung Bespoke Cube Air purifier worth the purchase? Absolutely. It just looks good. Period. And most importantly, it does the job well. All you have to do is turn it on and set it on auto. Just let it do its thing. I will only set it manually to high (or medium) when I have friends at home.
The Samsung Bespoke Cube Air purifier is available for purchase now at Samsung’s official website for RM3,399.00
