“From the Lenovo Legion Series to the new LOQ Series, we aim to empower both gamers and power users with the flexibility to choose the right device for their gaming performance and lifestyle,” said Peter Yeung, Executive Director and General Manager, Consumer Business of Lenovo Asia Pacific. “The highlight of our new lineup – all Lenovo gaming laptops now come with AI-powered chips that analyze usage habits and optimize the entire system performance, giving users the ultimate edge.”
World’s First Dedicated AI Chip on Gaming Laptops
Launched in January 2023, the Lenovo Artificial Intelligence (LA) AI chip is the world’s first dedicated AI chip on gaming laptops, aimed at addressing gamers’ challenge in maintaining consistent and optimal system performance while playing high-demanding games. The chip powers Lenovo AI Engine+, which deploys a software machine learning algorithm, to monitor in-game framerates and tune system performance – resulting in a smarter, more optimal system across all games, so gamers can focus on the gameplay experience without having to manually adjust the settings.
The Lenovo AI Engine+ runs a scenario-detection algorithm on the hardware engine which allocates wattage between CPU and GPU to optimize performance and helps minimize fan noise under gaming mode. This results in our system being more adaptive to increase frames per second (FPS) in game. Offering up to 15% higher TDP, the Lenovo AI Engine+ and the LA AI chip combo allows the new Lenovo gaming laptops to deliver higher performance compared to previous generations.
The LA AI chip settings can be fine-tuned through Lenovo Vantage, providing users with full control over customization and adjustments, including overclocking controls, AI-performance tuning, and a real-time performance dashboard.
Built for Power and Performance: Lenovo Legion Pro Series
The powerhouse Lenovo Legion Pro 7i and Lenovo Legion Pro 7— the world’s most powerful AI-Tuned 16-inch gaming laptopsi — are made for gamers looking for a competitive edge and an exhilarating gaming experience. This top-of-the-line model is housed in between all-metal top and bottom covers, available in Onyx Grey.
The 16-inch Lenovo Legion Pro 5i and Lenovo Legion Pro 5 can handle all-day work and play, thanks to its balance in computing power, portability, and price point. Also available in Onyx Greyii, the Lenovo Legion Pro 5i/5 is housed in between a metal top cover and a polymer bottom cover.

The Legion Pro Series run on Lenovo Legion’s ColdFront 5.0, which uses massive exhaust and intake systems, a turbo-charged dual fan system, phase-change thermal compound, and advanced hybrid heat pipes, keeping gaming sessions quiet and cool. With the Lenovo LA AI chip that monitors CPU and GPU load, these help to distribute cold air and expel heat, up to 240W total system TDP.
