Maxis today officially opened the Maxis Business Innovation Centre, a digitally immersive space designed to foster innovation and drive digital transformation for businesses. Present to officiate Maxis Business Innovation Centre was Yang Berhormat Tuan Ahmad Fahmi Mohamed Fadzil, Minister of Communications and Digital, accompanied by Datuk Mohamad Fauzi Md Isa, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Communications and Digital.
Located on the ground floor of Menara Maxis, Maxis Business Innovation Centre spans over 9,000 square feet of space where customers can access an IoT lab, auditorium with state-of-the-art AV technology, co-sharing workspace to collaborate and innovate, and multi-industry use cases enabled by cloud, AI, IoT, Machine Learning and more. The centre will provide an opportunity for businesses of all sizes and across industries to harness the power of digital technology.
“My Ministry has been given the task to drive the digital economy forward in Malaysia as part of our strategic framework. This requires all stakeholders to play their role through collaboration, innovation and knowledge sharing,” said YB Tuan Ahmad Fahmi.

During the event, YB Tuan Fahmi and his team from the Ministry were given a tour and briefing on the various industry use cases for manufacturing, logistics, agriculture, public safety and retail industries.
They included a 5G smart surveillance use case for emergency response, Smart Agriculture solution to increase farming efficiency, Smart Fulfilment for warehouse efficiency, as well as eCommerce solutions.
Maxis Business Innovation Centre also serves as an incubation and technology hub, encouraging collaboration and co-creation between partners and Maxis experts to develop innovative ideas.
