Bleed Esports made history by winning the first VCT Ascension Pacific 2023, having defeated SCARZ 3-0 in the Grand Finals.
Running from 28th June to 9th July, 10 regional teams from Japan, Korea, Oceania, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia & Singapore, Taiwan & Hong Kong, and South Asia competed head-to-head for an opportunity to be promoted to international league status, and clinching a total prize pool of USD100,000.
Only six teams moved on to the Playoffs stage, as Bleed Esports, Bonkers, NAOS Esports, SCARZ, BOOM Esports, and Fancy United Esports competed on LAN in front of a live audience in Bangkok at QSNCC for the first time from 7th to 9th July. After days of gruelling competition, SCARZ and Bleed Esports faced off in the Grand Finals, with Bleed Esports clinching victory and being the first team to lift the VCT Ascension Pacific trophy.
VCT Ascension Pacific 2023 was entirely sold out throughout the duration of the tournament. The event drew close to 5,000 fans, who attended the event in-person and were treated to a bevy of fan meet-and-greets, influencer sightings, game demo stations, and more.
