Malaysian drivers can now withdraw earnings daily, offering greater control over their income

Bolt Malaysia has rolled out its instant Early Cash Out feature, enabling eligible partner drivers to withdraw their earnings on demand, any day of the week. Already available in other Bolt markets, this feature reinforces the platform’s commitment to supporting driver partners with greater financial control and day-to-day flexibility.

Across Malaysia, thousands of e-hailing drivers rely on their daily earnings to manage essential living expenses. A recent survey by Bolt Malaysia found that over 70 percent of drivers depend on e-hailing as their primary source of income, with many using their earnings to support their families.

As living costs and fuel prices continue to fluctuate, having faster access to income can make a meaningful difference in how drivers plan and manage their day-to-day finances. Bolt’s Early Cash Out feature responds to this need, giving drivers the flexibility to withdraw their earnings on demand and manage their finances with greater ease and confidence.

With the new Early Cash Out feature, drivers who have been active on the platform for at least two weeks and have completed a minimum of 25 trips can now withdraw their balance once per day, provided sufficient earnings are available. Each transaction incurs a nominal processing fee of RM3, with a minimum cash out amount of RM1, enabling drivers to access funds as needed without waiting for the weekly cycle.

“For many of our driver partners, income from e-hailing goes straight into covering daily essentials, whether that’s fuel, meals, or household expenses. This feature helps close the gap between completing a trip and being able to use those earnings. It’s a small change that removes a lot of stress, especially at the end of a long day.”

This new feature builds on Bolt’s mission to make it easier for Malaysians to earn, manage, and grow their income through e-hailing. By enabling daily access to earnings, Bolt helps drivers manage not just their daily cash flow, but also navigate financial pressures that come with uncertain fuel prices, rising costs of living, or unplanned expenses. For those who rely on e-hailing as their main income source, having quicker, more predictable access to funds can help reduce stress and improve day-to-day financial planning.

The rollout of Early Cash Out is part of Bolt Malaysia’s broader push to strengthen its driver-first platform through transparent earnings, a sustainable commission model, and features that respond directly to driver feedback. Bolt continues to invest in technology and support services that help driver partners stay in control of their work, their time, and their income. This includes ongoing efforts to simplify in-app experiences, improve onboarding, and expand access to earnings opportunities across Malaysia.
