Operation Veterans Edge helps veterans understand and prepare VA claims before filing with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Every veteran is paired with a dedicated point of contact and receives a complimentary medical summary that reviews existing evidence, identifies potential gaps, and outlines possible next steps. The company also works alongside its affiliated healthcare organization, Stern HealthWorks, when veterans need additional medical evidence or healthcare evaluations.
Founded by retired military veteran Chris Mendham, Operation Veterans Edge was created after he repeatedly saw veterans struggle—not because they necessarily lacked qualifying conditions, but because they did not understand what evidence the VA required or how to effectively navigate the claims process. The company has since expanded its services to include individualized claim strategy, medical evidence support, and educational resources designed to help veterans make informed decisions before filing.
“Veterans deserve clear, accurate information about the benefits available to them, an honest assessment of the evidence supporting their claims, and the confidence to make informed decisions,” said Chris Mendham, founder of Operation Veterans Edge. “That’s what we’ve focused on since day one, and that’s what we’ll continue doing as we grow.”
Mendham believes many veterans may not be aware of the benefits they could qualify for or the documentation necessary to support a claim.
“Many veterans are only now discovering that they may qualify for benefits under today’s rules,” Mendham said. “Our responsibility is to help veterans understand the system as it exists today, identify the evidence they need, and make informed decisions about the path forward. An informed veteran will always be in a better position than one who never knew the opportunity existed.”
The company’s next phase of growth focuses on expanding access for veterans nationwide, particularly those living in rural communities or areas with limited access to specialized medical providers, where obtaining the evidence necessary to support a claim can be especially difficult.
