Two brand films showcase the smartphone’s toughness while celebrating Malaysia’s never-give-up spirit
Following a successful launch and strong sales performance, the HONOR X9e Pro continues to live up to its reputation as Malaysia’s best-selling mid-range smartphone and “Pilihan Utama Rakyat Malaysia”. Building on this momentum, HONOR has teamed up with Malaysian film TERBANG to release two commercial videos that bring the smartphone’s extreme durability to life while celebrating a shared spirit of resilience, determination and national pride.
Inspired by the true story of national rally legend Karamjit Singh, TERBANG follows Ajeet’s emotional return to rally racing as he confronts his past, overcomes personal challenges and strives to make his mark on the international stage. His refusal to back down mirrors the toughness of the HONOR X9e Pro, which is engineered to withstand extreme conditions and everyday challenges. Together, the device and the film embody the courage to push boundaries, persevere through adversity and make Malaysia proud.
The first brand film, shared on HONOR Malaysia’s social media channels, puts the HONOR X9e Pro’s durability in the spotlight. Mounted on the side of a sports car, the smartphone captures Ajeet navigating narrow, muddy roads, rough terrain and sharp corners at high speeds. Along the way, it endures flying stones, repeated impacts and rain, continuing to record throughout the demanding rally-inspired drive.
These driving sequences are interwoven with flashbacks of Ajeet’s lowest moments, drawing a parallel between his personal struggles and the physical challenges faced by the smartphone. As the story builds towards his comeback, it reveals how the encouragement of those who stood by him helped him find the strength to pursue victory. Through every punishing turn, the HONOR X9e Pro remains a dependable companion, capturing his journey from adversity to triumph.
The second video brings a more playful tone to an even tougher challenge. During a training session, Imran challenges Ajeet to drive over the HONOR X9e Pro repeatedly. Initially hesitant, Ajeet accepts, putting the smartphone through multiple runovers in the mud. When the device emerges unscratched and fully functional, his doubt turns into confidence, with both men won over by its toughness.
From capturing a demanding drive to enduring repeated runovers, the two videos showcase the HONOR X9e Pro’s resilience through action and storytelling, reflecting the never-give-up spirit that drives Ajeet forward.
The HONOR X9e Pro’s durability features include Ultra-Bounce Anti-Drop Technology 4.0, engineered to withstand drops from heights of up to 3 metres while reducing screen damage by up to 82%. The smartphone has also earned SGS 5-Star Certification for Drop Resistance in Harsh Conditions, giving users greater confidence when facing the unexpected demands of everyday life.
Complementing its drop protection, the HONOR X9e Pro carries IP68, IP69 and IP69K water resistance ratings. Its submarine-inspired multi-compartment architecture is designed to help prevent water from entering internal components, while its water resistance capabilities extend to depths of up to 10 meters. These features bring added reassurance when using the device in wet and demanding environments, as demonstrated in the two videos.
Combining robust construction with protection against everyday knocks, splashes and unexpected challenges, the HONOR X9e Pro reinforces its position as “Pilihan Utama Rakyat Malaysia”, a dependable companion for working outdoors, commuting and staying active.
The HONOR X9e Pro is available in four premium colours: Royal Purple, Reddish Brown, Dawn Gold and Midnight Black. Both storage variants feature 24GB RAM (8GB RAM + 16GB HONOR Turbo RAM), with the 256GB model priced at RM1,799 and the 512GB model at RM2,299 after an instant RM100 rebate.
