— When the 2025 GCE O Level results were released this January, seven students at SEB Academy Chemistry Tuition opened their results slips to a grade they’d did not expect: an A2 in Chemistry, up from an F9 the year before. That seven-grade leap was not just a distinction on their own result slip, but also a grade, to the distinction of dedication they have to the subject after tutelage at SEB Academy.
Seventy-four percent of SEB Academy’s 2025 O Level Chemistry students either improved by at least three grades or held the results they’d already worked hard for which is at an A grade, i.e. the average student who came through the centre finished three grades higher than where they started.
The stellar results of improvement weren’t limited to those seven students. In fact, four students improved from an F9 to a B3, a six-grade jump. Another twelve climbed from F9 to a B3 or better, several of them reaching A2 or A1. Among students who started at E8, seven finished at B3 or higher, and two of those landed at A2 or A1.
SEB Academy assists students to improve or maintain their A grade. Across all Chemistry students, 74% scored an A: 51% an A2 and 23% an A1. The 24/7 Student’s Portal gives every student video lectures, topical reviews and quizzes they can go back to at anytime even the night before a test. Weekly homework follow-ups mean a student who’s quietly slipping gets caught early, not at the prelims.
