Continental Europe’s first Taj Hotel debuts in Frankfurt
with JOI-Design’s fusion of Indian and European cultures
(August 2026) The Taj Hessischer Hof Frankfurt, continental Europe’s first Taj hotel and location of the brand’s members club, The Chambers, has newly opened with interior architecture studio JOI-Design’s fusion of Indian and European cultures. Located on the grounds of ancient Germany royalty, the renowned Hessischer Hof was transformed over three years into a marriage between colourful Indian intricacy and classic European tailoring. The renovation’s new personality reflects Frankfurt’s evolving identity as a city known not just for business and finance, but also as a multicultural creative hub honoured as the 2026 World Design Capital by the World Design Organisation. A destination that will resonate with visitors to this October’s Book Fair as well as the city’s numerous art exhibitions, the hotel has already been shortlisted for design awards.
