Shipsy Launches Shipsy Brain, an AI Model Purpose-Built for Logistics

Shipsy has announced the beta launch of Shipsy Brain, a fine-tuned artificial intelligence model designed for logistics operations and intended to help enterprise AI agents interpret operational data and execute defined tasks within established business controls.

Shipsy has announced the beta launch of Shipsy Brain, a fine-tuned artificial intelligence model designed specifically for logistics operations. The model combines specialized models with data generated through Shipsy’s logistics platform and is intended to help enterprise AI agents interpret relationships among shipments, drivers, documents, carriers, routes, contracts, and financial processes. Shipsy Brain is currently available in beta to selected enterprises.

According to Shipsy, the model was developed to address the operational context required for logistics tasks that may be difficult for general-purpose artificial intelligence models to interpret consistently. Logistics operations can involve variations in addresses, consignment numbers, freight documentation, carrier information, routing requirements, and financial processes, requiring AI systems to work with information structured around industry-specific workflows.

“It is built to help enterprises move beyond dashboards and copilots toward AI systems that can reason, recommend, and act within clearly defined business controls,” says Soham Chokshi, co-founder and CEO of Shipsy.

Shipsy states that Shipsy Brain has been developed using operational data accumulated through its platform over a five-year period. The company reports that this data includes more than 50 billion operational events, more than 1.5 billion logged decisions, more than 100 billion GPS location pings, more than three billion proof-of-delivery labels, 342 carrier integrations, and more than 5,000 authored workflows.

The company says the model is designed to coordinate specialized capabilities across areas including documents, consignments, trips, workflows, and financial processes. These capabilities are intended to support AI agents performing tasks such as document validation, address interpretation, anomaly detection, estimated-time-of-arrival prediction, routing, settlement management, and workflow recommendations.

Shipsy Brain operates within Shipsy’s AgentFleet platform, where the company says AI agents can observe operational activity, identify tasks suitable for automation, and execute defined actions subject to configured controls. Organizations can establish confidence thresholds and permissions for individual tasks, allowing human operators to retain oversight of actions that require additional review. Shipsy also says operator corrections can be incorporated into subsequent recommendations.

The company has also designed Shipsy Brain to be fine-tuned and self-hosted, which Shipsy says can reduce the amount of prompting and computational resources required for certain logistics tasks. The company describes this architecture as a way to provide greater control over how its AI capabilities are deployed and used within enterprise logistics environments.

The launch reflects Shipsy’s broader development of AI capabilities for logistics operations, with the company positioning Shipsy Brain as a layer that can connect operational information with defined actions. Rather than functioning solely as a source of information or recommendations, the model is intended to support systems that can determine and execute appropriate responses within business-defined parameters.

Shipsy Brain is currently available in beta to selected enterprises. The company says feedback from participating organizations will inform the continued development of the model, including the configuration of permissions, workflows, and operational requirements. Shipsy has not announced a date for general availability.
