Aussies give The Voice a standing ovation

Biggest Grand Finale since 2023, full 2026 season up 16%

— The Seven Network’s hit entertainment series The Voice hit a high note last night, with the Grand Finale reaching 2.7 million on Seven and 7plus and delivering a national total TV audience of 1.23 million, up 46% on last year.

Last night’s episode, which saw Yung Milla crowned the winner, was the most watched episode of The Voice since the 2023 Grand Final. Its audience on 7plus alone was 230,000, up 77% from 130,000 in 2025.

The 2026 season of The Voice – with superstar coaches Melanie C, Richard Marx, Ronan Keating and Kate Miller-Heidke, guest secret coach Tones And I, and host Sonia Kruger – was the most successful since 2023.

This year The Voice reached 9.18 million people and its total TV audience grew 16% to 1.25 million, including a 17% increase in 25 to 54s. On 7plus, its audience jumped 48% to 330,000 across the full season.

The Voice is the latest key entertainment program on Seven that has increased its audience this year.

Farmer Wants A Wife scored its biggest audience in five years – with a total TV audience of 1.29 million, up 24% on last year – and delivered a record audience for a reality series on 7plus.

Earlier this year, Australian Idol generated a total TV audience of 1.08 million, up 2% on 2025 including a 74% increase on 7plus. Seven’s new series, My Reno Rules, is the #1 new entertainment show on commercial free-to-air TV this year.

Seven’s Director of Content, Unscripted, Majella Hay, said: “The Voice has had audiences hooked from the very first episode. The addition of the very talented Tones and I as the secret coach turned the blind auditions on their head. A massive congratulations to ALL the contestants, coaches, ITV Studios Australia and our integration partners.”

Seven’s Director of Sales, Television and Streaming, Katie Finney, said: “Music has an incredible way of bringing people together, and this season of The Voice proved once again why it’s one of the most powerful platforms for brands to connect with those shared, emotional and winning moments.

“The growth we saw this year was outstanding: our total TV audience grew 16% this season, with the 7plus audience jumping 48%, giving our partners and advertisers even greater reach and engagement with Australian audiences. “I’d like to thank our valued partners Jaecoo, Aldi, Origin and Hayu for their continued support of The Voice and for helping us bring these unforgettable musical moments to audiences across the country,” she said.
