When it comes to audio, I have a keen ear for listening to the unique tone, pitch, notes, the highs and the lows. I love music and I loved to play around my dad’s old audio equalizer when I was young. That was when I learn how to differentiate the audio sounds from a record player.
Now technology have evolved. From a wired headphone to now a wireless earbuds. It is not about how many wireless earbuds you can create, but how well you can product true sound from a tiny earphone.
Best of all, it doesn’t have to be expensive.
This is where the little known brand Blitzwolf comes along. Some of you may have heard of this brand. Some of you may have read my recent review on Blitzwolf’s smartwatch, which I think is good. So now I have the Blitzwolf BW-FYE7 True Wireless Earphone in review and I’m about to tell you that this little True Wireless Stereo (TWS) will be worth your money.
Design
When it comes to design, some TWS comes with a standard look and feel. Just a small wireless earbuds with the soft silicone ear plugs and the Bluetooth receiver. But the Blitzwolf BW-FYE7 has an unorthodox and asymmetrical design but yet it fits perfectly and comfortably in my ears. The silicone ear plugs feels soft and gentle.
On the main body, there is a function button one each of the earbuds. The buttons does different functions like, please once to pause/play a music. Or long press to move on to the next or previous songs. Double press on either side to increase/decrease the volume, and so on. Most of all, I love the unorthodox design. Looks weird but unique to its own.
The case on the other hand is pretty simple and straight forward. It looks a little bulky but it is small enough to fit in your jeans pocket. It also has a very solid build, making it durable for all kind of activities.
One thing that amazes me is the battery capacity and hold long it can hold the power until the next charge. Charging the built-in 500mAh battery in the case takes up just over an hour but it can charge up the earbuds up to 5 times on that single charge.
After the full charge, you can listen to your favourite tunes or watch movies on your phone for up to 4 hours. You can go for 5 hours if you don’t blast out the volume up to 100% all the time. Rule of thumb – the more you put it to work, the faster you lose power.
Pairing & Audio Quality
This is the important part. We all want to know the kind of sound quality that we can get from an affordable sound device. And the Blitzwolf BW-FYE7 does not disappoint.
Pairing the earbuds takes only a few seconds. Simply turn on your Bluetooth to scan for any devices nearby. And take the buds out of the case to activate it. Look for the Blitzwolf BW-FYE7 in the Bluetooth scan on your phone and pair away. Simple and straight forward. You can now fire up your music player.
This unique TWS buds is a monster. That was my first impression of it. The very first song I played to test the music quality is Enter Sandman by Metallica. We all know the starting up bass is very strong and punchy, right? This is where I test how good the bass is on the Blitzwolf BW-FYE7.
To my astonishment, the bass sounds great. It didn’t even “break” at high volume. It retains the bass detail and seamlessly balance it with the high treble notes. It sounded like it should. It’s not the best, but it certainly hit all the right notes from the beginning. I am pretty happy with its performance.
For any other type of music genre like pop or EDM, it still has a good balance between the highs and the lows. Vocal sounds crystal clear. Sometime you tend to hear the annoying hissing sound when it hit the high notes, but thankfully the BW-FYE7 doesn’t have that. It handles the volume really well.
Handling calls are good too. You can use the Blitzwolf BW-FYE7 as your very own handfree earbuds for handling phone calls. The sound quality is okay in my opinion. It can be better but overall it works great. I had a few phone calls made with the BW-FYE7 buds and I had no problems with quality or connectivity. But I can say that it is better as a music device.
Conclusion
Now we all know that you can actually own a great device without having to spend a lot of money. This affordable True Wireless Stereo earphone is suitable for any use, especially when it comes as an entertainment companion.
I am very amazed at the overall sound quality. Therefore I would recommend this TWS to anyone who wishes to own a new wireless earbuds. The build quality is good, it fits comfortably and it is also very light. Pairing it up is also easy and quick.
