Rosanna (Ross) Par Permijo was born in Mulanay, Quezon, and is the second youngest of six siblings. Inspired by her mother’s resilience and belief in hard work despite limited access to education, Ross developed a deep commitment to learning as a path to empowerment. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in the Philippines and has spent nearly a decade transforming ideas into action, helping students find their voice and grow with purpose. In 2022, she joined Tucson International Academy as an International Educator and Cultural Ambassador. Guided by Proverbs 16:3, Ross teaches with compassion and believes learning inspires, leadership aspires, and the future transpires.
Her work focuses on guiding students to express ideas clearly and engage with subject matter through structured learning approaches. In the classroom, she integrates reading, writing, and discussion to support comprehension and communication. Her role also involves encouraging students to connect lessons with broader social and cultural contexts, allowing them to reflect on different perspectives.
Upon receiving the award, Rosanna shared, “It is a profound honor to receive the Excellence in Education Award at the Education 2.0 Conference. This recognition is both humbling and deeply meaningful, as it reflects not only my personal dedication, but also the collective support and encouragement that have shaped my journey as an international educator and cultural ambassador.
