BANGKOK, Thailand — Following the successful third edition of Starnest Music Festival in Bangkok, CisuMusiC is advancing its international artist development strategy and expanding the festival brand’s role within its growing music ecosystem. Held on August 8 at JJ HALL, the 2026 edition brought together artists from Thailand, Vietnam, the United Kingdom and across the region, reinforcing Starnest’s position as a cross-border platform connecting emerging artists with new audiences and markets.
Since its debut in Hong Kong in 2024, followed by consecutive editions in Thailand in 2025 and 2026, Starnest Music Festival has evolved from a standalone live event into CisuMusiC’s flagship festival brand. Over three editions, the festival has expanded both its lineup and international reach, combining established and emerging Thai artists with performers from South Korea, Vietnam, the United Kingdom and other markets.
This “strong local foundation + diverse international lineup” approach reflects CisuMusiC’s broader strategy of connecting artists, audiences and music markets across borders. Building on Starnest’s presence in Thailand, CisuMusiC plans to extend the festival concept into additional Asian markets, including Vietnam and Malaysia, creating more opportunities for artists to reach audiences beyond their home markets while expanding the Starnest brand across Asia.
Beyond live events, Starnest Music Festival also plays a strategic role within CisuMusiC’s broader artist development ecosystem. CisuMusiC integrates artist discovery, development, commercialization and digital initiatives, with Starnest serving as a proprietary live platform where artists can gain international exposure, connect with regional audiences and explore new market opportunities.
The festival’s growing cross-border role can be seen through its artist programming over the past two years. In 2025, Starnest featured acts including South Korean rock band 2Z, Chinese poetic rock band Red East and Vietnamese punk band Nghich, supporting their exposure to audiences across Asia. The 2026 Bangkok edition continued this international focus, featuring Vietnamese singer-songwriter CHIVAN (Vu Thanh Van), whose music and video content has attracted tens of millions of views on YouTube, as well as UK artist and Primal Live champion John Roche in his first performance in Asia.
Through these artist collaborations, Starnest is developing into more than an annual music festival. For CisuMusiC, the platform provides a recurring connection between artist development and real-world audiences, giving emerging artists opportunities to perform in new markets while helping build longer-term cross-border visibility and fan engagement.
