Iridium Coaching marks five years of expanding its practice-led approach to leadership, career development, corporate learning, and NLP education.
— Iridium Coaching and Learning is celebrating five years of providing coaching and workplace learning for professionals and organizations. Founded by Nikhil Damle in Mumbai in 2021, the company has expanded its work across business coaching, corporate programs, and Neuro-Linguistic Programming education while building a multidisciplinary network of practitioners.
The milestone comes as organizations continue to reconsider how learning translates into day-to-day behavior. Iridium’s approach begins with the view that workplace performance is shaped not only by knowledge, but also by the patterns through which people interpret change, communicate with colleagues, and respond to pressure. Its programs therefore place sustained application at the center of development rather than treating training as a single event.
“Five years have reinforced our belief that meaningful development happens when people can connect learning to the situations they actually face,” Damle says. “A concept becomes valuable when a leader, manager or professional can practise it, adapt it and use it with greater awareness at work. Our role is to create the conditions in which that shift can take place.”
Damle established Iridium after more than 20 years in banking, operations and technology, including CAO and COO roles at Morgan Stanley. He says that experience gave him a practical understanding of the pressures faced by managers and senior leaders, from leading across functions to balancing performance, governance and people priorities.
Today, Iridium works with corporations, social enterprises, educational bodies and individual professionals. Its corporate programs address areas including leadership development, career transitions, business growth and culture alignment. Business coaching supports professionals evaluating promotions, career changes or the next stage of their working lives. The firm also provides foundation, practitioner and master practitioner pathways in NLP.
Across these offerings, the engagement process moves from understanding the client’s situation and desired outcome to designing a tailored solution, delivering it and assessing its relevance against the objectives established at the outset.
The NLP programs reflect the organization’s emphasis on learning through use. Its foundation course is delivered online over 40 hours, while the practitioner and master practitioner courses each combine live, recorded and in-person learning across 130 hours. Participants practise between sessions, and foundation-course graduates can continue through a community that meets every 15 days to strengthen their skills.
Iridium has also assembled practitioners with backgrounds in banking, organizational development, psychology, communications and change management. Its team includes professionals in Mumbai, Bengaluru and New Delhi, bringing different disciplines and regional perspectives into its work. According to Damle, that range helps the firm design engagements around a client’s environment rather than beginning with a predetermined training package.
“Organizations rarely experience change as a neat, isolated challenge,” Damle says. “Leadership, culture, communication and individual identity often move together. Bringing corporate experience and multiple coaching disciplines into the same conversation helps us understand that complexity while keeping the work connected to the outcome the client wants.”
The company’s name expresses that philosophy. Iridium is a rare, resilient element used in alloys capable of withstanding demanding conditions. The coaching firm uses that image as a metaphor for creating psychological safety while people test new actions during periods of uncertainty.
As Iridium enters its next phase, Damle says the priority is to deepen the practice-led model across individual and organizational learning.
“The anniversary is an opportunity to appreciate what has been built, but it also sharpens the question ahead,” he says. “How can learning remain human, relevant and usable when workplaces keep changing? That is the work Iridium will continue to pursue.”
