— The Terance Madden Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Georgia personal injury law firm T. Madden & Associates, P.C., recently awarded ten scholarships to students across two Atlanta-area churches as part of its ongoing commitment to removing financial barriers to higher education.
The foundation presented five scholarships at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, where founder and Georgia personal injury attorney Terance Madden joined Pastor Jamal Bryant to celebrate the recipients. A second presentation awarded five additional scholarships at New Macedonia Baptist Church alongside Pastor Gerry T. Anderson.
For Attorney Madden, the Scholarship Sunday presentations are about more than handing over a check; they’re about honoring the role churches and neighborhoods play in raising a student long before that student ever applies to college. New Birth Missionary Baptist Church and New Macedonia Baptist Church aren’t just event venues; they’re institutions that have supported these students and their families for years, making them natural partners for a foundation built on the same idea: that community investment pays forward.

Over A Decade of Investing in Georgia Students
Attorney Madden established the Terance Madden Foundation in 2015 after benefiting from financial assistance during his own educational journey. This experience shaped his commitment to creating similar opportunities to help other students overcome financial barriers for higher education. Over the past decade, the foundation has awarded more than 250 scholarships to students across Georgia through partnerships with churches, schools, and community organizations — a reflection of Attorney Madden’s belief that education is rarely a solo achievement, but the product of a community that shows up for its own.
The scholarship program is funded primarily through the foundation’s annual Chocolate Gala, a “Party with a Purpose” that last year raised more than $80,000 to support scholarships for students throughout the state.
