U Mobile, Malaysia’s newest 5G network provider today launched the ULTRA Home 5G Pro, a new 5G home broadband service delivering speeds of up to 2Gbps and featuring three Malaysia-first capabilities – 8×8 MIMO 5G-A Broadband, AI-Powered Game Turbo and ULTRA Performance WiFi 7 5G-A Router.
Available from RM98 per month, ULTRA Home 5G Pro is designed for increasingly connected households, delivering higher speeds, more responsive online gaming and stronger multi-device connectivity without the need for fixed fibre installation. The service comes with 2,000GB monthly data quota and delivers speeds up to two times faster than existing 5G home broadband services powered by conventional 4×4 MIMO technology.
At the core of the service is 8×8 MIMO 5G-Advanced (5G-A) technology, which enables the router to receive more data streams simultaneously from U Mobile’s ULTRA5G network. Compared with conventional 4×4 MIMO configurations, it delivers speed gains between 20% to 100%, while providing greater capacity when multiple devices are connected at the same time.

For gamers, ULTRA Home 5G Pro introduces AI-Powered Game Turbo, which intelligently identifies and optimises gaming traffic in real time, reducing latency while improving responsiveness during gameplay.Supporting a growing range of PC, console and mobile games, Game Turbo prioritises gaming traffic separately from general data traffic through the ULTRA5G network for a smoother gaming experience.
The service is bundled with an ULTRA Performance WiFi 7 5G-A Router, the first and only 5G-Advanced WiFi 7 router offered by a telco in Malaysia. Designed to work with U Mobile’s 8×8 MIMO 5G-A network, it also supports WiFi 7 Multi-Link Operation (MLO), which enables devices to use multiple WiFi connections simultaneously while providing high speed WiFi across larger spaces.
ULTRA Home 5G Pro is available in Peninsular Malaysia, delivering speeds of up to 2Gbps with 8×8 MIMO 5G-A connectivity, an Ultra Performance WiFi 7 5G-A Router and a 2,000GB monthly data quota. Availability in East Malaysia will be announced in the future.
