The Dads Initiative Launches New Media Network to Redefine the Digital Landscape for Modern Fathers

— New media brand foregoes outrage and outdated tropes to create thoughtful, entertaining content for men, debuting with confidence-boosting series ‘Reset Mode.’

The Dads Initiative (TDI), an innovative new media company focused on modern fatherhood and men’s lives, officially announces its launch this Father’s Day season. The mission of The Dads Initiative is simple yet deeply necessary: to create entertaining, emotionally intelligent, and culturally relevant content for men who are actively navigating the realities of fatherhood, identity, relationships, work, and personal growth.

The Dads Initiative Launches New Media Network to Redefine the Digital Landscape for Modern Fathers

In an online landscape heavily saturated with negativity, The Dads Initiative stands apart by building shows for the guys the internet has forgotten how to talk to.

“Much of the conversation on the internet focuses on telling men what they should be angry about or what they are doing wrong,” said Adam Ukman, founder of The Dads Initiative. “We’re interested in something far more useful: helping men become the best version of themselves. Fatherhood changes how many men see themselves and the world around them, and we believe there are powerful stories to tell at that intersection. The guys we’re making this for are doing the work of being good dads and good men. They don’t need a lecture, they don’t need a pep talk, and they don’t need someone selling them outrage. They need better company and content that actually reflects their real lives.”

Research underscores the central role fatherhood plays in men’s identities today. According to a 2025 ParentsTogether and Technites study of over 1,300 fathers, 44 percent of respondents described themselves as a “dad” or “parent” first, ranking this role ahead of career, relationship status, and nearly every other category. Despite this data, mainstream media consistently overlooks the multidimensional nature of modern dads.

To bridge this gap, The Dads Initiative is producing programming rooted in connection, confidence, purpose, and reality. The company’s premier offering, Reset Mode, serves as the first expression of this vision. Co-produced with Style Girlfriend, the short-form series follows real fathers through approachable makeovers that transcend simple outfit changes or haircuts.

Hosted by Style Girlfriend founder Megan Collins, Reset Mode is built on the belief that when fathers feel better about themselves, everyone around them benefits. Each episode updates the classic “before and after” formula to help dads rediscover their confidence through practical, attainable improvements in style, grooming, fitness, and daily habits. Instead of unrealistic transformations or luxury-driven wish fulfillment, the series celebrates meaningful change that fits seamlessly into everyday life.

“Confidence affects every part of our lives,” said Megan Collins. “Most guys haven’t thought about what they wear since whatever they figured out in their twenties, and life has changed a lot since then. The dads featured on this show aren’t trying to become different people. They’re reconnecting with versions of themselves that may have gotten lost amid the responsibilities of everyday life. Reset Mode is about the small, surprisingly satisfying project of looking like the guy you actually are now.”

Premiering across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, Reset Mode paves the way for a robust slate of upcoming programming. The Dads Initiative is actively developing new content across a range of topics men already care about, including sports, food, money, gaming, wellness, the outdoors, and culture.

Upcoming projects currently in development include:

  • Reel Fathers: A podcast exploring fatherhood through deep dives into iconic films with the actors, directors, and writers who created them—plus community discussions where dads share how these stories connect to their own journeys.
  • Cast & Connect: An original video series featuring relatable tutorials on teaching kids outdoor skills like fishing and camping, alongside gear reviews and guidance on using time in nature to bond with family.

Each series is guided by TDI’s core belief: modern fathers are complex, multidimensional people whose stories deserve thoughtful representation. The brand’s goal is not to dictate what men should think, but rather to make high-quality, entertaining content worth their valuable time. The Dads Initiative was proudly incubated at ParentsTogether, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide the news families need by covering the latest research, policies, and trends affecting kids and families, allowing busy parents to have the information they need to help their families thrive.
