I’m excited about this another Lumia debut. This time it’s the new Lumia 930, a beautiful 5-inch device that doesn’t look like the rest of the Lumia family. The Lumia 930 looks more like a solid metal or titanium slab housing a Snapdragon 800 quad-core 2.2GHz processor workhorse. The previous flagship device was the Lumia 1520 which is powered by the same processor but comes with a 6-inch display, which somehow is slightly too big for an average sized hand to handle.
The Lumia 930 also features a 20-megapixel Pureview camera with Zeiss lens and of course, with image stabilization as well. Images will definitely comes out bright and sharp in its full HD display. It will have the latest Windows Phone 8.1 OS in it and also available, a Siri and Google Now’s answer for voice activated assistant called Cortana. Apart from that, another additional and long awaited function from the OS is the notification center. So now instead of just displaying a notification at the top of the screen, users can now pull down from the top to reveal the notification center just like how we would on Android.
Nokia will introduce the Lumia 930 in Asia sometime in June 2014, and probably reach Malaysia by July 2014…hopefully earlier. No news on the price yet but it is estimated to be around USD$599. So we can do the math ourselves for the price here in Malaysia.
