CTV tests nine smart ships in Nanning

— NANNING, China — June 20, 2026 — China Technology Vessel Holdings Limited, a core subsidiary of Hong Kong-listed China Technology Group (01725.HK), held a milestone joint sea trial ceremony for nine self-developed new energy intelligent vessels at Nanning Port, Guangxi. The event formally kicked off the firm’s standardized mass production and full-scale delivery, marking a landmark achievement of cross-border industrial collaboration between Guangxi and Hong Kong.

The nine-vessel lineup covers three core categories: autonomous unmanned smart ships, high-end commercial workboats and civilian leisure craft, serving diversified scenarios including maritime law enforcement patrol, scenic water tourism, scientific research expeditions, emergency command and private aquatic recreation.

Boasting cutting-edge proprietary technologies adapted from aerospace manufacturing, the vessels integrate multi-sensor environmental perception suites. Unmanned models support fully autonomous cruising with real-time hazard detection and intelligent collision avoidance. Premium commercial vessels adopt Beidou high-precision navigation and Level 2 ADAS to meet high-intensity mission requirements, while entry-level crafts feature outstanding durability and low operating costs. The full product matrix delivers modular zero-carbon smart waterborne solutions tailored for global inland river and shallow sea waterways, setting a domestic industry benchmark for green shipping on the Pinglu Canal.

At the ceremony, the company unveiled China’s first dedicated 6S full-lifecycle service hub for new energy marine vessels, set to open in Guangxi on July 20. Built after new energy vehicle service frameworks, the 6S ecosystem covers original R&D, vessel sales, professional maintenance, genuine spare parts, customized financial leasing and full operational empowerment.

The group released phased network expansion targets: 50 domestic regional service centers by 2027, scaling up to 200 nationwide outlets by 2028. Overseas layout will progress alongside, with 10 overseas 6S hubs to launch in 2027 and 100 cross-border service networks completed by 2028. This unique “Product + Service + Brand” model fills the long-term gap in traditional shipbuilding, where manufacturers only supply hulls without systematic after-sales support, creating distinct global competitive strengths.

Nine domestic and international partners including Tawa Trading Limited (Malaysia), Tokheim Hengshan Technology (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd. and China-Africa Economic and Trade Investment Promotion Association signed multi-year cross-border strategic cooperation deals on-site. Partnerships focus on joint marine tech R&D, overseas manufacturing base construction, co-built global distribution channels and regional authorized agency services, paving the way for worldwide commercialization of China’s electric smart vessel technology stack.

Senior executives outlined the firm’s global market roadmap anchored in Guangxi’s gateway location: prioritizing ASEAN market penetration before worldwide expansion. The enterprise will export complete packages of indigenous Chinese marine technologies, unified domestic manufacturing standards and localized full-cycle operation services to tap the trillion-dollar global decarbonization market for inland and shallow-sea shipping, accelerating overseas deployment of its electric intelligent vessels.

Concrete three-year delivery targets have been finalized: 1,000 vessels to be delivered in 2026; annual capacity to hit 10,000 units by 2027; and a fully integrated industrial chain covering R&D, production, sales, maintenance and after-sales services to mature by 2028.

Parent firm China Technology Group is a Hong Kong Main Board listed multinational conglomerate with decades of aerospace engineering experience. It independently develops pure-electric marine propulsion systems and intelligent navigation hardware to supply comprehensive zero-carbon vessel solutions.

This sea trial embodies the company’s capture of global low-carbon manufacturing opportunities, demonstrates deep Guangxi-Hong Kong industrial synergy, and delivers a practical implementation of China’s new quality productive forces strategy, propelling global sustainable maritime transportation transformation.
