Nude Medical Aesthetics Details XERF Skin Tightening at Its Napa Practice

Nude Medical Aesthetics, a Napa physician-led practice, is spotlighting XERF®, a multifrequency radiofrequency skin-tightening treatment, amid industry growth: ISAPS reports skin tightening was 2025’s only expanding non-surgical category, up 23.3 percent. Treatments are personalized under Dr. Zachary Wagner, and results vary by patient.

— Nude Medical Aesthetics, a physician-led aesthetic medicine practice in downtown Napa, is highlighting XERF® by Nude, its multifrequency radiofrequency treatment for skin tightening, as part of an investment in non-surgical technology.

Co-founder and CEO Alex Hickman described the treatment as “a next-generation multifrequency radiofrequency treatment designed to firm, lift, and strengthen the skin from within.” The practice says XERF is one of several platforms it uses to address skin firmness, structure and long-term skin health.

Skin tightening was the one major non-surgical category that grew in 2025. The International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) reported Sept. 29 that plastic surgeons worldwide performed 1,528,552 non-surgical skin tightening procedures last year, up 23.3 percent from 2024. That made it the third most common non-surgical procedure, behind botulinum toxin and hyaluronic acid fillers and ahead of hair removal. Of the 10 non-surgical treatments the survey tracks, skin tightening was the only one to increase. Total non-surgical procedures fell 15.7 percent, to 17.3 million. Skin tightening is up 52.3 percent since 2021.

In the United States, ISAPS counted 360,329 skin tightening procedures, also third among non-surgical treatments. The survey covers only procedures performed by plastic surgeons.

XERF is a trademark of Lutronic Corporation. Cynosure Lutronic, which makes the system, says it combines two radiofrequency frequencies, 6.78 megahertz and 2 megahertz, to deliver energy at more than one tissue depth. The company launched XERF in South Korea in May 2024 and said in June that more than 2,000 units are installed worldwide. It uses the term skin tightening to describe tightening effects that occur through soft tissue coagulation.

At Nude, the starting point for any treatment is the health of the skin. Technology is layered according to each client’s needs, goals and stage of life. Treatment plans consider each patient’s anatomy, concerns, lifestyle and recovery preferences.

Medical direction comes from Dr. Zachary Wagner, a board-certified physician and former U.S. Air Force flight surgeon. Nurses Katherine Bui, RN, BSN, and Jenae DiGennaro, RN, BSN, bring advanced aesthetic training to the practice.

Results, recovery and treatment timelines vary by patient. Whether XERF is appropriate for an individual is determined with a provider.
